Frequently asked questions.

What can you paint?

Naomi can paint most subjects as long as she has a photo to work from. However she doesn't like to paint people.

How long does a commissioned artwork take to make?

That depends greatly on the complexity, size and current work load, commissions do take highest priority. Most commissioned paintings or sculptures are completed in 2-4 weeks.

Can I get the painting done quicker?

Yes, depending on Naomi's workload at the time. The fastest she can finish a painting would be one week,

Rush orders incur an additional fee of 25% extra

Do I get to see the artwork before delivery?

Yes, the artwork will be photographed and emailed for approval prior to delivery.

Can you help me decide on the size?
Yes, if you live locally Naomi can travel to your home, where you can discuss your ideas. The area will be measured & photographed. Naomi can then suggest options to best suit your decor, space and budget. If you don't live locally the same can be organised via email and phone calls.

Can I get a different size painting than what is listed?

Yes, other sizes are available on request.

Do I need to supply the photos of the animal?

You can supply photos if you wish otherwise Naomi has many photographs she has taken herself or she can source photos from image libraries that have a CC0 license

Do you frame the painting?

Framing is not included in the price however Naomi can organise framing via request.

Do I need to frame the painting?

There is no need to as all the paintings are painted on gallery wrapped stretched canvas however getting them professional framed by your local picture framer just adds that little finishing touch.

Do I get to see the commissioned painting before delivery?

Yes, Naomi will first send a rough computer-generated mockup of your artwork for approval.

Once approved Naomi will start the painting process, towards the end she will email a photo of the finished painting for approval and any minor adjustment can be made.

How are the paintings sent?

Paintings are wrapped carefully in bubble wrap then in a cardboard box.

All items are shipped with insurance and tracking via courier or Australia post.

Estimated delivery time is 3-7 working days in Australia.

Please open your package immediately and check for any breakages or damages during transit.

How do I hang my original painting?

The best place to hang an original painting is on a wall w, away from any heat source, not in direct sunlight. Away from areas of moisture or high humidity and away from ultra violet lights.

Naomi recommends two fixings per painting for large ones. Wall mates are her favorite for gyprock walls and they are available at Bunnings. You could also hire a handyman or professional installer
